Left/Right Front Level Control System Sensor -G78- / -G289-, Removing And Installing: Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, With Special Attention To The Following:

NOTE:

Only Sensors Of The Same Version May Be Installed.

Tightening Specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOWER CONTROL ARM AND BALL JOINT .

Guide the retaining hook on the sensor bracket into the subframe.

The sensor lever must point toward the back.

The headlamp adjustment must be checked after loosening. Refer to HEADLAMPS .

-- If the Level Control System Sensor -- was removed and installed on a vehicle with electronically controlled damping or if the linkage was loosened, the control position must be reprogrammed. Refer to CONTROL POSITION, PROGRAMMING and Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- If the control position was reprogrammed on vehicles with lane assist, the Directional Stabilization Assistance Control Module -J759- must be calibrated again. Refer to LANE ASSIST, CALIBRATING .
