Center Differential And Center Differential Housing Overview

The center differential housing can be removed and installed with the transmission installed. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED .
- Servicing, refer to Disassembly and Assembly
- Center Differential Housing
- With or without vibration dampener, depending on version
- Removing and Installing with transmission installed CENTER DIFFERENTIAL, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED
- Replacing the shaft seal, refer to REAR FLANGE SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING
- Servicing, refer to Disassembly and Assembly
- Bolt
- 10 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Aluminum bolts (M8; 35 mm long)
- Quantity: 9 or 11
- Always replace
- Bolt
Steel bolts (38 mm long possible with M8 threaded pin)
- 15 Nm + 90° additional turn
Aluminum bolts
- 10 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Quantity: 2
- Always replace.
- 15 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Bolt
- 15 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Steel bolts (M8; 55 mm long)
- Quantity: 2
- Always replace.

- Installed position: The camber on the inner diameter faces toward the flange shaft
- Adjusting Ring

- Servicing only by the manufacturer
- Replacing the center differential bearing, refer to Disassembly and Assembly
- Removing and Installing with transmission installed, refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL, TRANSMISSION INSTALLED
