Hydraulic Fluid Cooler, Removing And Installing, RS Models: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following. Refer to OVERVIEW - HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING, 8-CYLINDER FSI - "Hydraulic Fluid Cooler to the Condenser - RS Models" (See Figure).

-- The markings -2- on the hose line must point upward in the >>12 o'clock<< position.

CAUTION:

Counterhold the pipes when connecting the lines.

-- Top off Hydraulic Oil.

-- Clean any oiled places.

-- Bleed the steering. Refer to STEERING, BLEEDING AFTER REPLACING .

-- Check power steering fluid level. Refer to POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .

-- Check all open line connections for leaks. Refer to STEERING, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .

-- Install the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

NOTE:

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate to the model.
