Front Seat, Removing And Installing, Manual: Removing

WARNING:

Follow All Safety Precautions When Working With Pyrotechnic Components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Move the seat into its service position. Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOVING INTO SERVICE POSITION .

-- Turn on the ignition.

-- Disconnect The Battery Ground Cable With The Ignition Turned On. Refer To BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

WARNING:

Before Handling Pyrotechnic Components (For Example, Disconnecting The Connector), The Person Handling It Must "Discharge Static Electricity". This Can Be Done By Touching The Door Striker, For Example.

-- Disconnect the harness connectors. Refer to CONNECTORS, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING on the connector station in the floor.

-- Connect the Airbag Adapter. Refer to AIRBAG ADAPTER, CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING .

-- Remove front bolts -1- (quantity: 2).

3 - Rear Console

-- Press the seat forward/back adjustment handle and move the seat -2- as far forward as possible.

-- Remove rear bolts -1- (quantity: 2).

-- With help from a second technician, lift the seat -2- out of the vehicle.
