Overview - Final Drive
NOTE:
Refer to GENERAL REPAIR INFORMATION .
Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
- Shaft Seal
- For the left flange shaft
- Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Differential
- Bolt
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to OVERVIEW - FINAL DRIVE -item 3- Bolt .
- Shaft Seal
- For the right flange shaft
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Right Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Circlip
- Replacing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Fill and Check Plug
- 30 Nm
- Replacing
- For the transmission fluid inside the front final drive
- Front Final Drive Cover
- Pay attention to the alignment sleeves
- Removing and installing is only possible for removed transmissions. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- After removing the front final drive cover, pre-fill. Refer to GEAR OIL, DRAINING AND FILLING .
- O-Ring
- On the front final drive cover
- Replacing
- Bolt
- 10 Nm
- Gearshift Lever
- Shaft Seal
- For the selector shaft
- Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Transmission
- Left Flange Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- Tightening specification, 10 Nm + 90° turn
- Replacing
- Bracket
- Removing and installing is only possible for removed transmissions. Refer to OVERVIEW - FINAL DRIVE -item 16- Bracket. .
- Ball Bearing
- For the left flange shaft
- Removing and installing is only possible for removed transmissions. Refer to OVERVIEW - FINAL DRIVE -item 17- Ball Bearing. .
- Circlip
- Replacing
- Removing and installing is only possible for removed transmissions. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING . For other Circlip "Rear Final Drive", refer to INPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING, 0BF , or REAR FINAL DRIVE 0BF - FLANGE/DRIVESHAFT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING . .
- Shaft Seal
- For the input shaft
- Replacing. Refer to INPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
- Dual Mass Flywheel
- Removing and installing is only possible for removed transmissions. Refer to DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
