Gas-Filled Strut
- Removing
  -- Remove the side trim panel. Refer to Luggage Compartment Trim Panels .
  
  -- Disengage the locking spring -arrows- at the ball sockets and remove the gas-filled strut from the ball pin.
- Installing
  CAUTION: Replace the locking springs after removing the gas-filled strut.
  
  -- The gas-filled strut may only be installed at the ball sockets onto the ball pins, refer to Gas-Filled Strut, Installing .
