Seal Between Transmission And Bevel Box

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Pulling Hook T20143
• Thrust Piece T10298

Procedure 

Fig 1: Identifying Pulling Hook T20143/1 Or T20143/2 To Pry Out Sealing Ring On Bevel Box

-- Remove the bevel gear. Refer to vehicles with 2.0 TFSI engine BEVEL BOX or vehicles with 3.2L MPI engine BEVEL BOX .

-- Pry out the sealing ring on the bevel box using the T20143/1 or T20143/2.

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the new shaft seal with oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing- and dust lip -arrow- half way with sealing grease; sealing grease.

-- Install the shaft seal all the way in using the T10298.

-- Install the bevel box. Refer to vehicles with 2.0L TFSI engine BEVEL BOX or vehicles with 3.2L MPI engine BEVEL BOX .
