Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister
Removing
Checking for leaks, refer to LEAK DETECTION TEST, PERFORMING .
-- Remove rear section of the exhaust system. Refer to [For engine(s) CETA, CCTA] Description and Operation or refer to [For engine(s) CDMA] Description and Operation or refer to [For engine(s) CBRA] Description and Operation or refer to [For engine(s) BPY] Description and Operation .
-- Remove the heat shield from the rear muffler. Refer to Removal and Installation .
-- Disconnect the vent lines and connecting lines -3, 4 and 5- by pressing the release button.
-- Remove bolts -1, 2 and 6-.
-- Release the retaining tabs in direction of -arrow- with a screwdriver and remove the EVAP canister.
Installing
- Tightening specification, refer to EVAP CANISTER AND LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM OVERVIEW .
Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:
-- Press on the vent and connecting lines until they engage audibly.
-- Install the heat shield on the rear muffler. Refer to Removal and Installation .
-- Install exhaust system. Refer to [For engine(s) CETA, CCTA] Removal and Installation or refer to [For engine(s) CDMA] Removal and Installation or refer to [For engine(s) CBRA] Removal and Installation or refer to [For engine(s) BPY] Removal and Installation .
