Right Flange Shaft Seat On Outer Bevel Box, Replacing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Procedure

NOTE:

Shaft seal can be replaced with transmission installed.

General repair instructions, refer to REPAIR INFORMATION .

Observe cleanliness rules when working on transmissions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove the right flange shaft. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT .

-- Pry out flange shaft seal with lever.

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the new shaft seal with oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing- and dust lip -arrow- half way with sealing grease; sealing grease.

-- Install the sealing ring all the way using the T10049.

-- Install the right flange shaft. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT .

-- Axle oil level, checking and filling. Refer to AXLE OIL LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING .
