Tunnel CROSSMEMBER

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Engine/Transmission Jack V.A.G 1383 A
Transmission Support T10337

Removing

-- Remove the rear noise insulation. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Install the T10337 on the V.A.G 1383 A.

-- Position the T10337 on the bottom of the transmission.

-- Lift the transmission slightly using the V.A.G 1383 A.

WARNING:

There is the risk of an accident.

The V.A.G 1383 A may only be used during assembly and must not sit unsupervised under the vehicle.

-- Remove the bolts from the tunnel crossmember -arrows-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrow- and the tunnel crossmember.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to TUNNEL CROSSMEMBER, TRANSMISSION MOUNT AND TRANSMISSION SUPPORT OVERVIEW .

-- Install the rear noise insulation. Refer to Removal and Installation .
