Knock Sensor 1 -G61- / Knock Sensor 2 -G66-

Removing Knock Sensor (KS) 1 -G61-

NOTE:

KS 1 -- is located in the front of the cylinder head on the right side.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- from KS 1 --.

-- Remove KS 1 -- -1-.

Removing Knock Sensor (KS) 2 -G66-

NOTE:

KS 2 -- is located inside the cylinder head on the left side.

-- Drain the engine coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Disconnect coolant hose from -1- from connecting pieces.

-- Remove KS 2 -- -arrow-.

Installing

-- Install in reverse order of removal.

Tightening specification, refer to IGNITION OVERVIEW

The following work is necessary only when installing KS 2 -- :

-- Install the coolant hose.

-- Fill with engine coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
