Camshaft, Measuring Axial Clearance

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Dial Gauge HolderVW387
- Dial Gauge - 0-10mmVAS6079
Procedure
Proceed as follows:
-- Remove roller rocker lever and support elements CAMSHAFTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- The bearing cap of axial bearing for respective camshaft remains installed.
-- Secure Dial Gauge HolderVW387 with Dial Gauge - 0-10mmVAS6079 on cylinder head.
Axial clearance:
- Wear limit: 0.1 mm.
