Camshaft Timing Chains Overview

Left Camshaft Timing Chain
- Thrust Washer
- For the drive chain sprocket.
- Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to -item 4- Timing Mechanism Drive Chain Overview.
- Bolt
- 5 Nm + 90°
- Replace
- Guide Rail
- Pay attention to the installed position.
- Bolt
- 5 Nm + 90°
- Replace
- Chain Tensioner
- For the left camshaft control chain.
- Bolt
- 23 Nm
- Camshaft Chain Sprocket
- For the intake camshaft.
- Installation position: the side with the writing on it faces forward.
- Left Camshaft Timing Chain
- Remove from the camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAINS, REMOVAL FROM CAMSHAFTS .
- Before Removal, mark the direction of rotation with paint.
- Removing and Installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Bolt
- 5 Nm + 90°
- Replace
- With sleeve
- Tensioning Rail
- Bracket
- For the drive chain sprocket.
- Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to -Item 1o- TIMING MECHANISM DRIVE CHAIN OVERVIEW.
- Drive Chain Sprocket
- For the left camshaft control chain.
Right Camshaft Timing Chain
- Bolt
- Tightening specification, refer to -item 2- Timing Mechanism Drive Chain Overview.
- Mounting Pin
- For the drive chain sprocket.
- Right Camshaft Timing Chain
- Remove from the camshafts. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAINS, REMOVAL FROM CAMSHAFTS .
- Before Removal, mark the direction of rotation with paint.
- Removing and Installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Camshaft Chain Sprocket
- For the intake camshaft.
- Installation position: the side with the writing on it faces forward.

- Chain Tensioner
- For the right camshaft timing chain.
- Bolt
- 5 Nm + 90°
- Replace
- Thrust Washer
- For the drive chain sprocket.
- Drive Chain Sprocket
- For the right camshaft timing chain.
