Center Muffler And Rear Muffler, Separating

• A separating point has been provided in the connecting pipe for individual replacement of the center or rear muffler
• The separating point is marked by depressions around the circumference of the exhaust pipe.

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Chain Pipe Cutter VAS 6254

Procedure 

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .

-- Separate exhaust pipe at separating point -arrow- using VAS 6254 at a right angle.

-- When installing clamping sleeve -arrows-, position at center on separating cut.

-- Install the left clamping sleeve so the bolts are at the left.

• Ends of screws point down.

-- Install right clamping sleeve so that screws are at top.

• Ends of screws point toward right.

-- Align exhaust system free of tension, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING .

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .
