Exhaust System, Installing

Align exhaust system when cold.

-- Remove front clamping sleeve bolts, refer to -items 10-, and - 12- Front Clamping Sleeve.

-- If equipped, remove rear clamping sleeve bolts, refer to -items 4-, and - 6- Rear Clamping Sleeve.

-- Press exhaust system forward -arrow- until the following tensions are set on the individual retaining loops.

Front right retaining loop: Dimension -a- = 2 mm.

Front left retaining loop: Dimension -a- = 4 mm.

Rear left and right retaining loops: Dimension -a- = 10 mm.

-- Hold exhaust system in this position and tighten clamping sleeve bolts evenly to 23 Nm.

NOTE:

A 2nd technician is needed to align the exhaust system with clamping sleeves between center and rear mufflers.

If all adjustment dimensions are not achieved, remove affected bracket from body and shift accordingly.

-- Align end pipes, refer to TAIL PIPE - Attach end pipe to rear muffler and align.
