Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 3

Removing

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Carefully pull the engine cover -arrows- off the 4 bolts one after the other.

-- Disconnect the -2- exhaust gas temperature sensor 3 -G495- brown connector.

-- Free up the electrical wire.

NOTE:

Ignore -1-.

-- Remove the rear noise insulation -2-. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Remove the exhaust gas temperature sensor 3 -1-.

NOTE:

To provide a better illustration, component location is shown from behind with engine removed.

Ignore -2, 3, 4 and 5-.

Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following.

-- Coat the exhaust gas temperature sensor thread with hot bolt paste.

-- Note installation position:

Dimension -a- = 10 mm between exhaust gas temperature sensor 3 -2- and the coolant pipe -1-.

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode. Refer to the appropriate service information .
