Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1

Removing 

-- Carefully pull the engine cover -arrows- off the 4 bolts one after the other.

-- Remove the bolts -1- and -2- and then remove the heat shield from the turbocharger.

-- Disconnect the -1- exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 -G235- black connector and free up the wire.

NOTE:

Ignore -2-.

-- Remove the exhaust gas temperature sensor 1 -arrow-.

NOTE:

To provide a better illustration, component location is shown from behind with engine removed.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Coat the exhaust gas temperature sensor thread with hot bolt paste.

NOTE:

During installation, all cable ties must be installed at the same location.

-- Install the turbocharger heat shield. Refer to TURBOCHARGER OVERVIEW .
