Left Upper Coolant Pipe, Vehicles Built Through 05.10
Removing
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Carefully pull the engine cover -arrows- off the 4 bolts one after the other.
-- Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler switch-over valve -N345- -1- from the bracket.

-- Remove the bolt -4- and the engine cover bolts -2-.
-- Free up the wiring harness -3- on the top of the coolant pipe on the left side.
-- Loosen the clamps -arrows- and remove the left upper coolant pipe.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- For the correct tightening specifications, refer to COOLANT PIPES OVERVIEW .
NOTE:
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps appropriate for the model.
-- Fill with coolant FILLING .
