Connecting Piece With Coolant Thermostat

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing

-- Remove the ribbed belt from the tensioning element. Refer to RIBBED BELT .

-- Remove the bolt -1- and disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) coolant thermostat and connection from the connection.

NOTE:

Ignore -2 and 3-.

-- Remove the coolant hose; to do this, loosen the hose clamp -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the coolant thermostat with the connection.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

For the correct tightening specifications, refer to COOLANT PUMP AND COOLANT THERMOSTAT OVERVIEW .

NOTE:

Replace O-rings.

Secure all hose connections with the hose clamps appropriate for the model.

-- Clean the sealing surface.

-- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT .

-- Fill with coolant FILLING .
