Charge Air Cooler Bypass Control Unit

Removing 

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Remove the front noise insulation -1-. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Lift the clips -1-, loosen the clamp -3- and -4- and remove the air duct hoses.

-- Remove the coolant hose by loosening the hose clamp -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the charge air cooler bypass control unit -J865- -1-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to AIR DUCT PIPES AND AIR DUCT HOSES OVERVIEW, VEHICLES BUILT THROUGH 05.10 .

-- Install the noise insulation. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode. Refer to the appropriate service information .
