Left Seal, Replacing, 0BC: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Install Right Shaft Seal

-- Coat outer edge of the seal with axle oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing lip and the dust lip halfway with Sealing GreaseG 052 128 A1.

-- Drive in new shaft seal as far as stop without tilting it.

Right and Left Flange Shafts, Installing

-- Install the flange shaft using the Needle Bearing DriftVW 295.

-- Install the rear final drive. Refer to FINAL DRIVE .

-- Check the gear oil in rear final drive. Refer to GEAR OIL, CHECKING LEVEL, 0BC .
