Left Flange Shaft Seal, Replacing

Thrust piece 3305
Pulling Hook T20143

Removing

Proceed as follows:

NOTE:

Shaft seal can be replaced with transmission installed.
Observe general repair notes. Refer to REPAIR INSTRUCTIONS .
Observe cleanliness rules when working on transmissions. Refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Remove left drive flange. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT .

-- Remove shaft seal with T20143/2.

Installing

-- Fill space between sealing and dust lips -arrow- halfway with sealing grease; sealing grease.

-- Drive in new shaft seal with 3305 to stop, do not tilt sealing ring.

-- Install left flange shaft. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT .

-- Gear oil level, checking and topping off. Refer to GEAR OIL LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING .
