Connecting Piece With Coolant Thermostat

Removing

-- Drain coolant. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove coolant thermostat housing. Refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT HOUSING .

-- Remove bolts -arrows- and remove connecting pieces -1-.

-- Remove O-ring -3- with coolant thermostat -2- from coolant thermostat housing -1-.

Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT HOUSING ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

NOTE:

Replace gaskets and O-ring.

-- Clean O-ring sealing surface.

-- Insert coolant thermostat -2-.

Installation position: Breather valve is at top -arrow-.

-- Coat new O-ring -3- with coolant G12+.

-- Attach connecting piece to coolant thermostat housing.

-- Install coolant thermostat housing -1-. Refer to COOLANT THERMOSTAT HOUSING .

-- Fill with coolant COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .
