Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF), Draining And Filling: Filling
Filling ATF
-- Measure the length of the bleed pipe on the :VAS6262A . Shorten it if necessary. Refer to MEASURE THE LENGTH OF THE BLEED PIPE - (OVERVIEW - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) CIRCUIT).
-- Secure the fluid container with :VAS6262A on the vehicle as high as possible.
-- Tighten the new plug -arrow A-.
-- Install the :VAS6262/5 into the ATF check and fill hole -arrow-.
-- Fill the ATF) using the adapter until the ATF) starts to leak out of the check and fill hole.
-- Move the selector lever to "P".
-- Start the engine, wait 20 seconds and then turn it off.
-- Fill the ATF again until it starts to leak out of the hole.
-- Start the engine.
-- Fill the ATF again using the adapter until the ATF starts to leak out of the check and fill hole.
-- Tighten the old plug for the ATF check and fill hole.
-- While pressing the brake pedal and with the vehicle idling, shift through all the selector lever positions ("P", "R", "N", "D/S") leaving each position engaged for 3 seconds.
-- Move the selector lever to "P".
-- Check the ATF level. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID (ATF) LEVEL, CHECKING .
