Power Front Seat, Removing And Installing: Removing

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Bring headrest into lowest lock position.

-- Move the seat -2- all the way forward and up.

-- Remove the seat rail cap on the sill side. Refer to SEAT RAIL CAP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the rear bolts -1- (quantity: 2) from the bracket -3-.

-- Move the seat all the way to the rear and up.

-- Remove the seat rail spindle cover. Refer to SEAT RAIL SPINDLE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the front bolts -1- (quantity: 2) from the bracket -4-.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Disconnect The Battery Ground Cable With The Ignition Turned On. Refer to / BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Disconnect the connectors from the connector station in the floor panel. Refer to CONNECTORS, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Connect the Airbag Adapter. Refer to AIRBAG ADAPTER, CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING .

-- Lift the front seat with a second technician and remove it from the vehicle.
