The connector station is located in the vehicle floor under the front seat area.

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

-- Bring headrest into lowest lock position.

-- Move the seat as far back and up as possible.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition turned on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Unclip the front cover -1- with the :3409 and pull the cover in the direction of the -arrow- off the connector station -2-.

-- Remove the cable holder -3- upward from the connector station.

NOTE:

The number of connectors may vary depending on the vehicle equipment. The description shows the version with the maximum equipment level.

WARNING:

Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

-- Remove the thorax airbag connector -1-.

-- Connect the Airbag Adapter to the thorax airbag connector on the front seat. Refer to AIRBAG ADAPTER, CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING .

-- Vehicles with seat heating: disconnect the seat heating connector -2-.

-- Vehicles with power seats: disconnect the connector for the seat adjustment power supply -4-.

-- Disconnect the seat belt latch connector -5-.

-- Push the grommet -3- to the side.

-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 2- and free up the wiring harness.

WARNING:

Follow all safety precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, connecting a connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". For example, this can be done by briefly touching the door striker.

The connectors are connected in reverse order with note to the following:

NOTE:

Make sure the connectors are installed all the way and engage audibly.

WARNING:

The ignition must be on when connecting the battery. If pyrotechnic components (for example, airbag, belt tensioner) are not repaired correctly, they may deploy unintentionally after connecting battery. There must not be anyone in the vehicle interior when connecting the battery.

-- Connect The Battery Ground Cable With The Ignition Switched On. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

NOTE:

If the Airbag Indicator Lamp -K75- indicates a fault, check the DTC memory, erase it and check it again using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
