Final Drive 0BF, Removing And Installing, AUDI RS4 And RS5: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. At the same time note the following:
Malfunctions on the rear final drive.
If the rear final drive was replaced, additional work is necessary. Refer to ADDITIONAL WORK AFTER REPLACING REAR FINAL DRIVE 0BE, 0BF .
- Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - FINAL DRIVE 0BF, AUDI A4, A5, A6, AND A7 .
-- Attach the driveshaft to the rear final drive. Refer to DRIVE AXLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the driveshaft. Refer to INSTALLING .
-- Install the exhaust system and align free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS for engine code CALA, EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS for engine codes CAED, CAEB, CPMB, CPMA, or EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS for engines CCBA, CGXC, CTUB .
-- Install the rear cross member. Refer to OVERVIEW - TUNNEL BRACE .
-- Check the ATF inside the rear final drive. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING, 0BE, 0BF .
-- Check the gear oil level in the rear final drive. Refer to GEAR OIL, CHECKING LEVEL, 0BE, 0BF .
- If the rear final drive was replaced, additional work is necessary. Refer to ADDITIONAL WORK AFTER REPLACING REAR FINAL DRIVE 0BE, 0BF .
