Overview - Transmission Housing

NOTE:

Removing and installing the pinion is currently not possible.

Intermediate Piece
- Replace if damaged
Ball Stud
- 25 Nm
- Apply plenty of Grease G 000 150 to the clutch release lever bearing surface.
Cap
- For the transmission ventilation
Bleed Pipe
- Installed dimension; refer to Figure
- Unclip the transmission breather cap
Shaft Seal
- For the left flange shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
Differential
- Replace differential tapered bearing. Refer to OVERVIEW - DIFFERENTIAL .
  NOTE:
  The differential bevel gears cannot be removed or installed.
O-Ring
- Always replace.
- Coat with transmission fluid
Final Drive Cover
- Replacing. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING .
Bolt
- 20 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Steel bolts (M8; 38 mm long)
- Quantity 10
Right Flange Shaft
- With circlip
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Shaft Seal
- For the right flange shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
Oil Catch Tray
Pinion
- Cannot be replaced at this time.
Bearing Bushing
- For the gearshift rail/shift fork
- Quantity: 3
- Removing. Refer to Figure
- Installing. Refer to Figure.
Ball Bearing
- For the output shaft
- Removing. Refer to Figure
- Installing. Refer to Figure
Circlip
- Installed position. Refer to Figure.
Circlip
- Installed position. Refer to Figure.
Ball Bearing
- For the input shaft
- Removing. Refer to Figure
- Installing. Refer to Figure
Magnet
- Clean off
Drain plug
- 45 Nm
Transmission Housing
- Cannot be replaced at this time.
- Different versions
- For some transmission a plug is installed instead of the transmission fluid heater. Refer to Figure.
- Allocate correct version.
