Overview - Center Differential Housing, With Transmission Output Shaft Attached Driveshaft

Removing and installing the center differential housing on installed transmission. Refer to Center Differential Housing, Removing and Installing, Attached Driveshaft .

1. Bolt
   • 24 Nm
   • For vibration damper
   • Quantity: 3
   • install with Locking FluidA MV 185 101 A1
2. Bolt
   • Aluminum bolts
   • Quantity 11
   • Replacing
   • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING AND CENTER DIFFERENTIAL -list item 2- Bolt (See figure 6).
3. Housing
   • For the center differential
   • Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ATTACHED DRIVESHAFT 
   • Removing and installing on installed transmission.
4. Gear Carrier
   • Installed position: The tab must fit into the cut-out in the transmission intermediate housing.
5. Center Differential
   • Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, ATTACHED DRIVESHAFT 
6. Pressure Spring
7. Assembly Sleeve
   • Does not have to be installed again
8. Circlip
   • For the transmission output shaft ball bearing with splines
   • Removing and installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES, SEAL AND BALL BEARING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
9. Circlip
   • For the transmission output shaft with splines
   • Removing and installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES, SEAL AND BALL BEARING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
10. Ball Bearing
    • For the transmission output shaft with splines
    • Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES, SEAL AND BALL BEARING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 
11. Bolt
    • Steel bolts
    • Quantity: 2
    • Replacing
    • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING AND CENTER DIFFERENTIAL -List item 4- Bolt (See figure 6).
12. Balance Weight
    • Installed depending on the version
13. Shaft Seal
    • For the transmission output shaft.

      Replacing on transmission output shaft with vibration damper

    • Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES, SEAL AND BALL BEARING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING 

      Replacing on transmission output shaft without vibration damper

      • Transmission removed.
    • Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING, TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT AND SPLINES AND WITHOUT VIBRATION DAMPER .
      • The transmission is installed.
14. Dust Ring
    • Replace after removing
15. Transmission Output Shaft with Splines without Vibration Damper
    • Removing and installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES, SEAL AND BALL BEARING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
16. Transmission Output Shaft with Splines and Vibration Damper
    • Removing and installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT WITH SPLINES, SEAL AND BALL BEARING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
