The center differential housing can also be removed and installed while the transmission installed. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL

Center Differential Housing
- Different versions:
  - With or without vibration damper
  - With flange shaft or Transmission output shaft with splines
- Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, SERVICING
Bolt
- 10 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Aluminum bolts (M8; 35 mm long)
- Quantity: 9 or 11
- Always replace.

- 10 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Quantity: 2
- Always replace.

  Steel Bolts (38 mm Long Possible with M8 Threaded Pin)
- 15 Nm + 90° additional turn
- Quantity: 2

- Installed position: The camber on the inner diameter faces the center differential housing

Center Differential
- Servicing not possible.
- Removing and installing. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Center differential bearing, servicing. Refer to OVERVIEW - SPUR GEAR FOR BEARING AND CENTER DIFFERENTIAL .
Shim
- For positioning the center differential
- Selecting thickness. Refer to ADJUSTING SHIM "S .

- Pay attention to the installed position to the transmission cover. Refer to Figure.
