MECHATRONIC, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Tightening specifications. Refer to OIL PAN, OIL STRAINER AND MECHATRONIC, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .
-- Make sure the seal -B- is installed correctly and is secure.
- If Mechatronic is replaced, then is it necessary to reaplce the seal -B- as well.
-- Set Mechatronic unit in place without using force, and at the same time insert stud on the selector lever -arrow- into the groove on the selector slide -A- ; if necessary, move selector slide back or forth.
-- Tighten the bolts -1- and -2- on the Mechatronic to 2 Nm.
-- Tighten the bolts to tightening specification in the following sequence: -1 to 10-.
-- Replace the connector housing -A-.
-- Lightly coat the o-rings -1- and seals -2- on the new connector housing -A- with ATF.
-- Press the connector housing -A- all the way into the transmission -arrow 1-. Rotate it slightly if necessary.
-- Install the locking lever into the transmission -arrow 2-. Make sure it engages.
The seal connector is then secured against falling out with a clip.
If locking lever does not engage, lightly press or rotate connector housing.
-- Install the ATF strainer. Refer to OIL SCREEN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the ATF pan. Refer to ATF PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fill the ATF and check the level after installing. Refer to ATF, DRAINING OR FILLING AFTER REPAIR .
-- Complete the steps required after connecting the battery. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
