Sealing Flange, Removing And Installing, Belt Pulley Side: Installing
Tightening specifications
- Refer to OVERVIEW - SHAFT SEAL AND SEALING FLANGE, PULLEY SIDE .
- Refer to Figure.
Replace the seal and the shaft seal for the crankshaft.
Secure all hose connections with standard production hose clamps.
-- Clean the sealing surfaces; they must be free of oil and grease.
-- Tighten pulley side sealing flange bolts. Refer to Figure.
The rest of the installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:
-- Install the crankshaft shaft seal on the belt pulley side Refer to CRANKSHAFT SHAFT SEAL, BELT PULLEY SIDE, REPLACING .
-- Install the ribbed belt idler roller. Refer to OVERVIEW - RIBBED BELT DRIVE .
-- Install the coolant pump ribbed belt pulley. Refer to OVERVIEW - COOLANT PUMP .
-- Install oil dipstick guide tube. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION .
-- Install the oil filter element.
-- Install front coolant pipe. Refer to FRONT COOLANT PIPE ON ENGINE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the ribbed belt tensioner. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the exhaust gas recirculation cooler. Refer to EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fill with coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
