Oil Screen, Removing And Installing: Installing

CAUTION:

Danger of causing damage to the seal.

  • First install the oil screen so that it is loose. The oil strainer centers itself noticeably in the valve body seat.

-- Coat new sealing ring -1- with ATF and mount it on the suction collar.

-- Install the oil screen loosely on the valve body but do not push it in yet.

-- Turn the bolts -arrows- into the valve body approximately 3 turns, but not more.

-- Center oil screen and press the oil screen arrows evenly on the corners all the way into the valve body and hold it in this position.

-- Install the bolts all the way in by hand but do not tighten them.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Install the ATF pan. Refer to ATF PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fill with ATF. Refer to FILLING ATF .
