- Used Oil Collection And Extraction UnitSMN372500
- Oil FillerVAS6262A
- If necessary, adapter for oil filling Oil Filler - Adapter 6VAS6262/6
- Oil Filler - Adapter 2VAS6262/2
- Original 1 liter ATF bottle; for the correct part number.
- Protective eyewear
- Acid-resistant safety gloves
Procedure
Danger of personal injury.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Wear acid-resistant safety gloves.
- Keep a safe distance away from the coolant fan when working near it because the fan can turn on by itself.
There is an accident risk if a gear is accidentally engaged while the engine is running!
- Before working on a running engine, move the selector lever into "P" and pull the parking brake button in order to set the electro-mechanical parking brake.
- Do not start the engine or tow the vehicle if there is no ATF in the transmission.
-- Measure the length of the bleed pipe on the Oil FillerVAS6262A. Shorten it if necessary. Refer to GENERAL INFORMATION .
Conditions
- Move the vehicle onto a 4-column shop hoist or over a work pit so it is completely level.
- Selector lever in "P".
- The engine is off.
- The overflow pipe -C - is installed, tightening specification. Refer to ATF, DRAINING .
Follow all disposal regulations for transmission fluids.
The Oil FillerVAS6262A must be clean and the ATF must not be mixed with another fluid!
-- Shake before opening.
-- Attach the ATF container to the Oil FillerVAS6262A.
Use adapter for oil filling Oil FillerVAS6262A if the thread on the container does not fit Oil Filler - Adapter 6VAS6262/6.
-- Fill 6 liters (6.3 qts) of ATF.
Only 3.5-4 liters (3.7-4.2 quarts) of ATF must be added if the ATF pan was not removed. This is not enough for an ATF change.
-- Start the engine and let it run in idle.
-- With engine idling depress the brake pedal and shift the selector lever through all the selector lever positions leaving the selector lever at least 10 seconds in each position.
-- Move the selector lever into "N".
-- Increase the RPM to 2000 and hold it there for at least 60 seconds.
-- Move the selector lever into "P".
-- ATF level, checking and filling. Refer to ATF LEVEL, CHECKING AND FILLING .
-- Perform a transmission adaptation. Refer to TRANSMISSION ADAPTATION .
