Rear Output Flange And Driveshaft Seal, Transfer Case Installing, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Lightly coat the outer circumference of the new shaft seal with oil.

-- Fill the space between the sealing- and dust lip half way with Sealing GreaseG 052 128 A1.

-- Drive in new shaft seal as far as stop without tilting it.

-- Install a new dust cap -A- on the shaft.

-- Replace the O-ring -A- and the locking ring -B-.

-- Attach the Driveshaft to the transfer case and to the intermediate bearing. Refer to REAR DRIVE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Check the transmission fluid level in the transfer case. Refer to TRANSFER CASE, CHECKING TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL .
