Center Muffler And Rear Muffler, Separating

• A separating point has been provided in the connecting pipe for individual replacement of the center or rear muffler.
• The separating point is marked by depressions around the circumference of the exhaust pipe.

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Chain Pipe Cutter VAS6254

Procedure

-- On vehicles with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .

-- Separate the exhaust pipes at a right angle at the separating points -arrow- using a Chain Pipe Cutter VAS6254.

-- When installing, position the clamping sleeves -arrows- on the center of the separating point

-- Install the left clamping sleeve so the threaded connections are at the left.

• Ends of bolts point down.

-- Install right clamping sleeve so threaded connections are at top.

• Ends of bolts point toward right.

-- Install the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

-- On vehicles with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .
