Exhaust System, Installing Without Tension

Align the exhaust system when cold.

-- Loosen the bolts on the front clamping sleeves.

-- Loosen the threaded connections on the rear clamping sleeves, if equipped.

-- Press exhaust system forward -arrow- under the following tensions are adjusted on the individual retaining loops:

Right front strap: -a- = 2 mm.

Left front strap: -a- = 4 mm.

Right and left rear strap: -a- = 10 mm.

-- Hold exhaust system in this position and tighten clamping sleeve bolts evenly.

NOTE:

A 2nd technician is needed to align the exhaust system with clamping sleeves between center and rear mufflers.

If all adjustment dimensions are not achieved, remove affected bracket from body and shift accordingly.
