Reducing Agent Pump -V437-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Removing

Follow all safety precautions. Refer to SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION (SCR) SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to FUEL SUPPLY, INJECTION SYSTEM AND CHARGING SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Switch the ignition off and remove the ignition key.

WARNING:

Danger due to reducing agent leaking out.

-- Reducing agent active tank, draining. Refer to REDUCING AGENT ACTIVE TANK, DRAINING .

-- Disconnect the connector -4-.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and disengage the Reducing Agent Pump -V437- -3- from the active tank.

NOTE:

Place a clean cloth under the separating location to catch any reducing agent that may leak out.

Seal off all open lines and connections with clean plugs.

WARNING:

The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.

  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes! Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
  • If reducing agent should get on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.
  • If reducing agent gets in your eye, rinse the eye for several minutes with water.
  • Never inhale or swallow the reducing agent!
  • Should you swallow any reducing agent, rinse your mouth, drink plenty of water and contact a doctor immediately.

-- Press the release clasp and disconnect the supply line -1- and return line -5-. Refer to Figure.

-- Remove the metering line -6- by pressing the release clasp. Refer to Figure.
