Heating Reservoir, Removing And Installing: Removing
Follow all safety precautions. Refer to SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION (SCR) SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to FUEL SUPPLY, INJECTION SYSTEM AND CHARGING SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remover the reducing agent active tank. Refer to REDUCING AGENT ACTIVE TANK, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Place a clean cloth under the separating location to catch any reducing agent that may leak out.
The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes! Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
- If reducing agent should get on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.
- If reducing agent gets in your eye, rinse the eye for several minutes with water.
- Never inhale or swallow the reducing agent!
- Should you swallow any reducing agent, rinse your mouth, drink plenty of water and contact a doctor immediately.
-- Press the release clasp and disconnect the supply line -3- and return line -1-. Refer to Figure.
-- Remove the connectors -5- on the bracket and free them up.
-- Remove the union nut -2- using the Wrench - Union NutT50014 and carefully remove the heating reservoir -4- upward.
Danger due to reducing agent leaking out.
- Note that there is still some reducing agent left inside the active tank and heating reservoir.
