Exhaust System, Installing Without Tension

Align the exhaust system when cold.

Tightening specifications:

Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER .

Procedure

-- Loosen the bolted connections for the clamping sleeve -arrow-.

-- Press exhaust system forward -arrow- under the following tension dimensions are adjusted on the individual retaining loops:

Left front strap: -a- = 4 mm.

Right and left rear strap: -a- = 10 mm.

-- Hold exhaust system in this position and tighten clamping sleeve screws evenly.

NOTE:

If all adjustment dimensions are not achieved, remove affected bracket from body and shift accordingly.

-- Align the tail pipes. Refer to TAIL PIPES, REPLACING .
