Toothed belt drive, assembly overview

NOTE:
- Before removing the ribbed belt, mark the running direction with chalk or felt tip marker. A reversed turning direction can cause damage to the belt under operating conditions.
1 - 10 Nm
2 - Mounting pin
3 - 20 Nm plus an additional 90° (1 /4 turn)
- Replace
4 - Washer
- For tensioning roller
5 - 40 Nm
6 - Tensioning roller
7 - Tensioning lever
8 - 22 Nm
9 - 55 Nm
- Replace
- Grease thread and head seating surface
10 - Securing plate
- Replace
- Side with writing "rear hinten" points toward rear
11 - Right camshaft gear
- When removing and installing, remove toothed belt → Toothed belt, removing and installing
- Pull off using puller T40001 and claws T40001/2
12 - 10 Nm
- Insert with locking fluid
- Locking fluid
13 - Right rear toothed belt guard
14 - Idler roller
15 - Pin bolt, 9 Nm
16 - 14 Nm
- Bolt class 10.9
17 - Coolant pump
- Removing and installing → Coolant pump, removing and installing
18 - Gasket
- Replace
19 - Left rear toothed belt guard
20 - 10 Nm
- Insert with locking fluid
- Locking fluid
21 - 10 Nm
22 - Left camshaft gear
- When removing and installing, remove toothed belt → Toothed belt, removing and installing
- Pull off using puller T40001 and claws T40001/2
23 - Securing plate
- Replace
- Side with writing "rear hinten" points toward rear
24 - 55 Nm
- Replace
- Grease thread and head seating surface
25 - Toothed belt
- Before removing, mark direction of rotation using chalk or felt-tip marker
- Check for wear
- Removing → Toothed belt, removing and installing
- Installing (adjusting valve timing) → Toothed belt, removing and installing
26 - Eccentric roller
27 - 45 Nm
28 - Crankshaft toothed belt sprocket
- There must be no oil on contact surface between toothed belt sprocket and crankshaft
- Only possible to install in one position
29 - 200 Nm plus an additional 1 /2 turn (180°)
- Replace
- Do not oil lubricate additionally
- Use crankshaft holder 3242 for loosening and tightening
- Install crankshaft holder 3242 → Figure
