Side luggage compartment trim

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

• Torque wrench V.A.G 1783

1 - Spring clamp

2 - Luggage compartment trim

• Removal:

• Remove rear seat side panel → Rear seat side padding, removing and installing or rear side airbag → Rear side airbag (foldable backrest), removing and installing .
• Disengage luggage compartment floor at cargo tray and remove.
• Remove rear cross panel trim → Rear cross panel trim, removing and installing .
• Remove bolts - 4  - (4x) for tie-downs - 5  -.

• Remove bolt - 3  - (1x).
• Unclip trim - spring clips - 1  - (4x).
• Disconnect rear socket electrical connector (right trim).

• Installing: 

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

• Rear lid rubber must be laid over roof end trim.

3 - Screw

• Tightening torque 1.8 Nm

4 - Screws (4x)

• Tightening torque 4 Nm

5 - Tie-downs
