Right flange shaft seal, replacing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Drip tray V.A.G 1306
- Extractor lever VW 681
- Thrust piece T10138
Work procedure
- Transmission installed.
NOTE:
- General repair notes → General Repair Notes .
- Rules of cleanliness for working on automatic transmissions → Rules of cleanliness for working on automatic transmissions .
- Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 underneath transmission.
- Remove right flange shaft → Right flange shaft, removing and installing
- Remove flange shaft sealing ring.
- Coat outer circumference of gasket with gear oil.
- Drive new seal in as far as the stop; be sure not to distort seal.
- Installation position: The open side of the seal faces the transmission.
- Fill area between sealing lip and dust lip halfway with sealing grease G 052 128 A1 .
- Install right flange shaft → Right flange shaft, removing and installing
- Check oil level in front final drive → Gear oil level in front final drive .
