Cut through exhaust pipe at right angles with body saw (for example, V.A.G 1523 A) at position marked (arrow).

WARNING: Wear eye protection

When installing, position clamps centered over saw-cuts.
- Install clamps so that ends of bolts (arrows) are not below bottom circumference of clamps, see INSTALLATION POSITION OF REAR CLAMPS .
