Accelerator pedal cable, adjusting

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1999 Audi A8, 1998 Audi A8, and 1997 Audi A8. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
  • The accelerator pedal cable is easily damaged (kinked) and therefore must be handled carefully.
  • A slight kink can lead to cable failure while the vehicle is being driven.
  • A KINKED CABLE MUST NOT BE INSTALLED.
  • When installing the cable, make sure that it is aligned between it's supporting mounts and attachment points.
