Headrest guides, removing and installing - vehicles from 11.04

Removing 

• Push release button - 2  - in - direction of arrow A  - and pull headrest - 1  - upward as far as possible - arrow B  -, keep release button pushed while doing so.

• Press release button - 2  - on headrest - 1  - until stop - arrow  -.
• Slide headrest down completely on rods, release button on headrest must be kept pressed while doing so.
• Remove headrest completely from headrest guides.

Headrest guide without release button: 

• Remove backrest panel: Standard seat → Backrest cover, removing and installing , power seat → Backrest cover, removing and installing .
• Press catch - 2  - in - direction of arrow A  - and press retaining claws in - direction of arrow B  -.
• Pull headrest guide - 1  - upward out of mount.

Headrest guide with release button: 

• Remove backrest panel: Standard seat → Backrest cover, removing and installing , power seat → Backrest cover, removing and installing .
• Disengage catch - 2  - in - direction of arrow  - and pull headrest guide - 1  - upward at the same time and out of mount.

Installing 

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

• The headrest guide can only be inserted in one position.
• Guide lug of headrest guide must engage in cut-out of mount for headrest guide.
