Vehicles with 4-cylinder engine
Removing
- For vehicles with auxiliary heater, remove bolts -arrows- for exhaust pipe of stationary heater/auxiliary heater on noise insulation.
- Remove bolts or quick release screws -1- and -2- and remove front noise insulation.
- Unscrew line for terminal B+ -2-.
- Unplug connector for terminal 50 -1-.
- If installed, remove insulator at positive connection on starter.
- Unbolt clamp -4-.
- Unbolt bracket for starter on cylinder block -3- and on starter.
- Remove bolts -1- and -2-.
- Remove the starter from below.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, paying attention to the following:
- Connect battery. Required steps. Refer to Battery, disconnecting and connecting .
