Resetting Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) after a service
Indicated on display
- Press buttons -1- and -0- to select "Adaptation" function 10.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.
Indicated on display
- Press buttons -0- and -2- to insert channel number 02.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.
NOTE:
- The SRI can also be reset without using the VAG1551 or 1552 scan tool. See RESETTING SERVICE REMINDER INDICATOR (SRI) AFTER A SERVICE WITHOUT USING VAG1551/1552 ST .
- Adaptation channel 02 can only be used on instrument clusters with software versions from D05 onwards.
- Software version of instrument cluster. See ON BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) FUNCTIONS .
Indicated on display
The display will indicate which type of service is due.
1 - indicates that oil change service is due
10 - indicates that inspection service is due
11 - indicates that oil change service and inspection service are due
NOTE:
The SRI must be reset using direct input.
- Press --> button.

The following adaptation values are used to reset an Oil Change Service and/or an Inspection Service:
SRI ADAPTATION VALUES

| 00000 | Reset OIL and INSP |
| 00010 | Reset OIL |
| 00001 | Reset INSP |
- Enter appropriate adaptation value using keypad to reset oil change service and/or inspection service as required.
Example: 00000
- Press button -0- five times to input adaptation value "00000."
