Adapting Service Reminder Indicator (SRI), after replacing instrument cluster (distance remaining until next inspection service)
This function is used to adapt the distance remaining (in kilometers) before the next inspection service is due, after replacing the instrument cluster.

- Press buttons -1- and -0- to select "Adaptation" function 10.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

- Press button -1- twice to select channel number 11.
- Press -Q- button to confirm input.

The display will show the number of kilometers remaining before the next inspection service is due. In this example, "5" = 5000 km.
NOTE:
- Values can only be Input in increments of 1000 km. Therefore, the distance is indicated in units of 1000 km.
- Even in countries where the speedometers are calibrated in miles, adaptation must be done in metric units. Convert the required distance interval from miles to kilometers to get the required adaptation value.
- Conversion of miles to kilometers: miles x 1.609 = km.
- Kilometers are displayed in "Read Measuring Value Block" function 08, display groups 002 and 050.
- The value entered is then counted backward to 0 km.
- Notes regarding replacement of the instrument cluster. See REPLACEMENT OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, INPUT VALUES .
- Only direct input of the values is possible using the VAG1551 scan tool.
- If an incorrect value is input "Adaptation" function 10 is ended and must be initiated again.
- Press --> button.

- Input required value using keypad on VAG1551 scan tool, filling in initial spaces with "0."
Example:
Remaining distance: 5000 km
- Input "00005" using keypad.
