Adapting odometer display (kilometers, miles): Notes
This function is used to adapt the odometer after the instrument cluster is replaced.
- The adaptation function can only be carried out on instrument clusters with an odometer reading of not more than 100 km (63 mi).
- The adaptation function can only be carried out once for each instrument cluster.
- Only a higher adaptation value can be entered, not a lower one.
- If an incorrect value is entered and confirmed, it is not possible to change it. If this happens the instrument cluster must be replaced.
- Even in countries where the speedometers are calibrated in miles, adaptation must be done in metric units. Convert the required distance interval from miles to kilometers to get the required adaptation value.
- Conversion of miles to kilometers: miles x 1.609 = km.
- Kilometers are displayed in "Read Measuring Value Block" function 08, display groups 002 and 050.
- Notes regarding replacement of the instrument cluster. See REPLACEMENT OF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, INPUT VALUES .
